Boris was abandoned at a rental property after his owner moved out and was living in a trash heap. The owner didn’t care about what happened to him. Boris arrived blind and deaf. We think that it was mostly due to a poor diet and bad genetics. Boris has been steadily losing weight and getting more healthy with time. He still gets around using his sense of smell and touch and we don’t know if his vision and hearing will come back or if he ever had them to begin with.
Boris met a pig friend named Linus at the sanctuary and now they are good friends. Having a friend has helped Boris gain confidence and enjoy life a little more.
Boris is currently in Heartwood Haven’s care undergoing rehabilitation and may become available for adoption granted good health status in the future.
