Ruthie was found stray by animal control at a time when we saw a huge increase in stray and dumped ducks. People purchased baby animals during COVID pandemic but didn’t plan to keep them long term. So, Ruthie was abandoned in a neighborhood to fend for herself. Ruthie used to be imprinted on people but with time, she has assimilated in to the duck flock and is best friends with Carmella.
