Rescue Date

Story

Ronnie and Jocelyn are broad-breasted white turkeys. They are sweet and curious and love to explore and welcome visitors. Ronnie and Jocelyn were raised by an FFA (Future Farmers of America) student. Students in FFA and 4H programs raise animals, who they fall in love with, and then have to see them be auctioned off for slaughter. Most of these children form strong bonds with the animals they raise and don’t want to see them hurt. Ronnie and Jocelyn are two of the lucky ones who survived and live happily at a sanctuary. In the US every year, 245 million turkeys just like Ronnie and Jocelyn are raised in horrible conditions and slaughtered.
